In so doing, when we walk the Path of Salvation, we obtain this grace of being “cleaned”, restored, reconciled and freed from whatever punishment we would have had to suffer. WE GAIN HIS POWER OVER DEATH.

In conclusion, to be forgiven by God is to be saved.

Why did He do this? because of His great love for us. This kind of love is like a parent who has a sick child who would, if he/she could, take the sickness upon himself/herself rather than to see his/her child suffer.

A fish jumping for joy.

You are off the hook.

Question: Based on Your definition of forgiveness, we can’t forgive as You forgive because we cannot change other people nor can we change the world. So exactly what do You mean when You tell us we should forgive?

God’s answer:

Let go of your anger.

This is what He, Jesus Christ, showed us when He said “Forgive them Father for they not know what they do.” It’s another way of saying “I’m not angry at them.”

Question: Why should we forgive?

God’s answer:

You cannot be reasonable when you are angry.
If you are unreasonable, you cannot be just.
